## Always use an external filter

Always place an [external filter](https://help.sbtinstruments.com/encyclopedia/item-register/consumables/external-filter) between BactoBox® and the [tubing kit](https://help.sbtinstruments.com/encyclopedia/item-register/accessories/tubing-kit). Connect the external filter to the inlet (white connector).

## Versions

The tubing kit changed over time. If you have an obsolete version of the tubing kit, you should replace it with the latest version. Contact SBT for more information.
