Things to take into account to ensure safe and proper use of BactoBox®

Follow these precautions to avoid hazards

Safety precautions

Do NOT use BactoBox® near fire or other strong heat sources as the disinfection vials contain 70 % isopropanol.

If you observe unexpected noises, smoke, or smells turn off BactoBox® immediately and pull the power cable out of BactoBox®.

Do NOT use a damaged power supply.

Do NOT allow the power supply to get wet.

Do NOT spill large amounts of liquid on BactoBox®.

Operational precautions

Do NOT move BactoBox® while it runs

BactoBox® is a stationary device. Don't move the device while it operatores. This avoids hardware damage and errors in the measurements.

Do NOT place liquids or drinks on your BactoBox® device

Spills damage the internal electronics.

Do NOT use third-party chemicals to clean your BactoBox® setup

Third party chemicals may cause permanent damage to your device. Only use the SBT disinfection vials.

Do NOT install third-party software on your BactoBox®

This may cause device malfunctions, data corruption, and system instability.

Do NOT try to open or repair your BactoBox® device

This may cause permanent damage to the hardware.

Do NOT use BactoBox® near strong vibration sources

This may negatively influence the measurements or damage the device.

Keep BactoBox® away from strong vibration sources.

Vortex mixers are typically fine. Bead beaters vibrate too much.
