{% hint style="info" %}
Normal BactoBox® operating temperatures is 20 - 25 °C. Broader temperature range is only possible if a [custom diluent](https://help.sbtinstruments.com/protocols/prepare-your-sample/hit-the-right-conductivity/make-diluent#diluent-1-in-x-pbs) is used. If you are operating BactoBox® in an anaerobic chamber, the temperature is often elevated. This requires a reduction in PBS. Target a diluent conductivity of 1850 µS/cm at the desired temperature. Use the built-in [conductivity](https://help.sbtinstruments.com/protocols/prepare-your-sample/hit-the-right-conductivity/measure-conductivity-with-bactobox-r) program to test the conductivity.

:temperature-quarter: For lower temperatures, increase the proportion of PBS.

:temperature-full: For higher temperatures, decrease the proportion of PBS.

## Power usage

BactoBox® power usage in various situations.

| Situation | Average |   Peak |
| --------- | ------: | -----: |
| Idle      |  3.60 W | 3.84 W |
| Measure   |  6.00 W | 13.9 W |

{% hint style="info" %}
The power usage peaks whenever the flow changes direction or quickly accelerates. These peaks usually last for a very short duration.
{% endhint %}

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.sbtinstruments.com/encyclopedia/item-register/bactobox-r/technical-specification.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
