**Do not make your own disinfection vials**

Some 70 % isopropanol solutions carry a lot of particles. Those particles carry over into your next measurement and are counted along with your sample, so the result is wrong. Use the vials SBT supplies.

## When you need one

BactoBox® runs a [Clean](/maintenance/clean-the-setup.md) after every measurement, after a deep clean, and after 30 minutes of inactivity. One vial covers a working day rather than a fixed number of samples.

**Why the vials arrive in a sealed pouch**

The liquid is highly flammable, so the pack ships as dangerous goods. The pouch holds absorbent material that contains any leak in transit.
