Filling your own vials
Fill an empty vial with dilution liquid to make your own dilution vials.
Do not store filled vials
Fill only the vials you are about to use. A filled vial must not be kept overnight, because growth develops in it and skews your result.
Cold storage is not a fix. It may slow the growth, but it also takes the conductivity outside the range BactoBox® needs, and the measurement fails.
Ready-made vials avoid the filling step
The dilution vial arrives filtered, conductivity-adjusted, and long-term stable thanks to gamma radiation sterilization. Filling vials yourself introduces several ways to drift out of range.
