**A QC test also needs one of your own dilution vials**

**QC stock** is the bead suspension in this bundle. A **QC vial** is one of the bundle's dilution vials with QC stock added. A **QC test** measures that QC vial, then measures a **blank**, which is a plain dilution vial with nothing added.

The bundle covers 18 QC vials. It holds no blanks. Each QC test takes one more dilution vial from your day-to-day stock, either a [ready-made vial](/item-register/consumables/dilution-liquid-ready-made-vials.md) or one you filled yourself with the [dilution dispenser](/item-register/accessories/dilution-dispenser.md).
