Get things ready

You need these items:

• 1 × BactoBox®

• 1 × Computer with:

  • USB Type-A port

  • Windows 7, 10, 11, or later

• 1 × USB cable (supplied with your BactoBox®)

Access does not work with macOS

We do not support any version of macOS.

Experimental support for Linux

We do not officially support Linux but we do provide experimental support. It may or may not work. It may also suddenly stop to work.

Step by step

Insert USB cable into BactoBox®

Insert the micro-B end of the USB cable into the port on the side of your BactoBox®.

Connect only when BactoBox displays Ready

Connect only when your BactoBox® shows the Ready screen. Connecting during a measurement may cause disruptions.

Insert USB cable into computer

Connect the other end to a USB Type-A port in your computer.

Open file with Access

After a short while, your computer recognizes your BactoBox® as a USB disk drive. For example, it may show up as D:\.

Your computer shows a window like this:

Open the file SBT Access.html. This opens Access in your browser.

Nothing happens?

Make sure BactoBox is turned on.

Check the USB cable at both ends. Make sure that it is fully inserted.

Try to open http://10.20.30.40 directly in your browser.
