Prepare BactoBox® for storage
The shutdown procedure is simple:
Clean the setup (See Clean the setup)
Power off the BactoBox® (flip the rocker switch)
Leave the tubing kit in the disinfection vial and keep the flow cell in BactoBox®.
Prepare BactoBox® for long-term storage
Step-by-step guide:
Clean the setup (See Clean the setup)
Power off the BactoBox® (flip the rocker switch)
Disconnect tubing kit and place it in an empty vial for storage
Place the inlet-outlet cover (the grey protective cap) on BactoBox® inlet and outlet
Preferably store the BactoBox® in the original box together with the accessories
It is okay (but not mandatory) to leave a flow cell clicked in place during storage.
Prepare BactoBox® for shipping
Step-by-step guide:
Clean the setup (See Clean the setup)
Disconnect tubing kit and place it in an empty vial for shipping
Place the inlet-outlet cover (the grey protective cap) on BactoBox® inlet and outlet
Place the BactoBox® in the original box and then in a padded cardboard box for shipping
It is okay (but not mandatory) to leave a flow cell clicked in place during shipping.
Do not ship the BactoBox® only in the original box as it does not provide sufficient protection when shipped.
Bring BactoBox® out of storage
Whether you want to bring BactoBox® out of short-term or long-term storage, the procedure is the same: Qualify your BactoBox® setup.
