Phase B: Dilution vial

In phase A (Phase A: QC vial) we measured the QC vial. Here in phase B, we measure the dilution vial directly. This qualifies that BactoBox® works both when there are particles and when there are not.

Get things ready

You need these items

• 1 × clean BactoBox® setup (see Clean the setup)

• 1 × dilution vial

If you came directly from phase A then you need to clean the BactoBox® setup first! Otherwise, there may be carry-over from the QC vial.

Step by step

Switch to dilution vial

Transfer tubing kit to the dilution vial.

Measure the dilution vial

Press Measure to start a measurement.

Check the measurement result

Wait for the Measure program to complete. Read the cells/ml and total/ml concentrations.

Qualification: Phase B passes

The concentrations are below 30 000 cells/ml and below 100 000 total/ml.

Qualification: Phase B fails

If any error occurs, or, if the concentrations are outside the requirements listed above.

That is it!

If both phase A and phase B passed then your entire BactoBox® setup passes qualification.

Discard the dilution vial. It is for single use only.
